Nestled under the Shadow Hills and just north of Bob Hope Airport, Sun Valley was originally known as “Roberts,” after the only store in the town during the late 1800s. During World War II, Sun Valley played an important role in the war effort by housing dozens of Lockheed Martin factories. Today, A diverse community, Sun Valley is home to a number of notable businesses, including Frontier Records and the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild flowers and Native Plants. This nursery is the only one of its kind in Los Angeles devoted to California native plants.
