LA Will Begin Enforcing Large-Capacity Magazine Ban

LOS ANGELES - This Thursday, the LA Superior Court denied the request by National Rifle Association lawyers to block Los Angeles from enforcing its recent ban on the possession of large-capacity magazines. The ban, authored by Councilmember Krekorian, passed by the full City Council and signed into law by Mayor Garcetti this past summer, will allow police to enforce the ban beginning on Nov. 19, 2015. Sun Valley Middle School Cleans Up the Community

SUN VALLEY - Earlier this week, Sun Valley Magnet School students joined community members for a neighborhood clean up. With the help of Councilmember Krekorian's office and the Sun Valley Graffiti Busters, 80 volunteers picked up trash, pulled weeds, swept sidewalks and cleaned alleys along Bakman, Valerio and Fair avenues.
