Doug Mensman

Doug Mensman is the Transportation Policy Director for Councilmember Paul Krekorian. He staffs the Councilmember on Metro, Metrolink, SCAG and the SFVCOG  as well as advising on and analyzing transportation issues at City Hall and across the Los Angeles region. 

Doug has been with the City of Los Angeles for almost a dozen years. Before joining Council District 2, he was former Councilmember Dennis Zine’s Director of Planning and Economic Development, working on land use issues for the western San Fernando Valley. Prior to that, he worked in Planning and Land Use for former Councilmember Tom LaBonge.  

After growing up in the Midwest, he moved to Los Angeles to attend USC twice, pursuing undergrad studies and obtaining a Masters in Public Administration. He lives in the Garvanza neighborhood with his wife, daughter and two fast dogs.
