LOS ANGELES - This past Tuesday marked the debut of the City's Cleaning and Rapid Engagement (CARE) teams. The teams, one of which is located in each council district, will use accurate data to rapidly deploy to clean up highest need sites in Council District 2.
Equipped with outreach training and sanitation resources, these teams will also connect homeless Angelenos to services and help ensure our neighborhoods are clean and healthy. Teams consist of eight members from Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment, two members from the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, with LAPD officers in close proximity.
The team will work closely with Councilmember Krekorian's office to determine a priority list of sites.
