City Leaders Work to Prevent Human Trafficking in LA

LOS ANGELES - Councilmember Krekorian joined Councilmember Nury Martinez in a citywide effort to support survivors and stop human trafficking in Los Angeles.

The International Labor Organization estimates that there are 20.9 million victims of human trafficking globally. In support of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, a citywide effort is underway to bring visibility to the issue, and provide services and resources for survivors of human trafficking.

From now through Feb. 12, we urge all businesses and individuals to help survivors of trafficking by donating toiletries, including shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products and deodorant.

Donations can be dropped of at our North Hollywood Field Office, located on 5240 Lankershim Blvd., Suite 200.
